British Beauty Council Patrons

We are incredibly proud to announce that we are Officially Patrons of The British Beauty Council

The beauty industry made a total contribution to UK GDP worth £28.4 billion in 2018*, and with one in every 60 jobs in the hair or beauty industry, it's fair to say the industry is thriving. Our patron ship will ensure we can be the voice of the professionals.

This is not only exciting for Navy as a brand but also for the whole industry and we make headway into industry changes and regulation.

“We're so happy that we have had the opportunity to join The British Beauty Council we look forward to working with them to help drive the beauty industry forward.”  - Rebecca Founder of Navy Professional

Who are The British Beauty Council?

The British Beauty Council was founded with the intention to represent the voices, opinions and needs of the British beauty industry – from hairdressing to cosmetics, cosmetic surgery, therapy and spa; in education and training; and from formulation to manufacturing, supply, logistics packaging, design, retail and media. Their mandate is to push the key business and political agenda of the industry at Westminster with an expert-backed group representing all sectors.

The Council empowers and engages all within the British beauty industry to play its part in positive change. This means now that we are patrons, our contribution is vital in helping The British Beauty Council future-proof the wider beauty industry.

It advises on policy to deal with issues impacting the industry and engages in political lobbying to ensure new legislation benefits its members. British Beauty Council also undertakes research to track market trends and forecast the business opportunities and challenges facing the industry in the coming years.

They are a non-profit organisation and they are dedicated to sharing the beauty industry challenges. The four main pillars that they follow are Policy and Influence, Environmental and Social Governance, Growth and Talent. Each pillar has a unique focus that reflects the needs of the sector and its workforce, directing resources to create stability and growth to empower businesses to thrive.

How is Navy going to help The British Beauty Council?

Now that we are a patron, we have the influence to help The British Beauty Council shape future beauty industry roadmaps, we look forward to contributing to initiatives falling under the four pillars and have involvement across the Council’s committees, including the Sustainable Beauty Coalition, Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity and Hairdressing.

“The partnership is the start of something incredible we cannot wait to see what the year holds.”  - Rebecca Founder of Navy Professional.
